Harrow borough 2 Tiverton Town 2

Tiverton went into the game at the Rogers Family Stadium against Harrow Borough looking to bounce back after two recent disappointing results. With suspensions and injuries depleting the Tivvy line up it was a good opportunity for Tivvy youth team keeper Ollie Saunders to stake a claim for a regular first team start. George Russell another Tivvy youth team player was in the squad where he was joined by Pedro Borges Carlo Garside and Charlie Bateson in a very youthful Tivvy line up. Tiverton started the game brightly and forced a couple of early corners as they took the game to Harrow Borough. With only nine minutes on the clock Tiverton were awarded a penalty for a foul in the box. With regular penalty taker Louis Morison not in the team up stepped Niall Thompson who converted the spot kick to put Tiverton 1-0 up and it was fully deserved after a good start . Tiverton continued to pile the pressure on the Harrow defence with chances falling to Dylan Jones  Tom Purrington  and Niall Thompson as the ball flew around the Harrow  box like a pin ball machine. As the game went on the home side started to see more of the ball but couldn't find a way past the Tivvy defence. Pedro Borges who was on loan from Exeter City played  some great passes
From the middle of the pitch to give Tivvy options down both wings. On twenty seven minutes a Tiverton corner was cleared up field quickly by the Harrow defence and found  George Moore who cooly finished to make the score 1-1. Nine minutes later and Moore was on target again to put Harrow 2-1 up. Tiverton didn't let the two quick goals unsettle them and on thirty eight minutes Dylan Jones leveled the score at 2-2 and to be fair they deserved it. With time running out in the first half Harrow  number eight Billy Leonard went close with a header but the half ended level. The second half saw both teams create several chances but neither team could find the finishing touch. Tiverton's best opportunities fell to Niall Thompson who had two great shots well saved by Jasob Knightbridge in the Harrow goal. Lucas Vowles also went close but his effort went narrowly wide of the far post. Considering the players missing this was a good team performance and a well earned  point.
