Its getting tight at the top of the Premier Division South with Leaders Weston Super Mare losing 2-0 at North Leigh. Their closest rivals Truro City saw their game fall foul of the weather so it was a good opportunity for third place Bracknell Town to close the gap on the top two which they did with a 2-0 win at Yate Town.
Poole Town moved into fourth place in the table with a 2-1 home win against Hayes and Yeading United. Chesham United went down 1-0 at the Met Police a result that saw them drop to fifth in the table. There were a couple of good away wins with Merthyr Town winning 2-0 at Dorchester Town and Swindon Supermarine winning 3-1 at Hanwell Town and Gosport Borough winning 2-0 at Harrow Borough. Other results saw Hendon win 1-0 at home against Hartley Wintney and Winchester City also won at home against Beaconsfield Town 4-0. In Division One South league leaders Sholing were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Bideford which gave second place Totton the opportunity to close the gap on the leaders but they were also held to a 1-1 draw at home against Larkhall Athletic.
Third place Hamworthy were thumped 5-0 at Cinderford Town while fourth place Wimborne Town drew 1-1 at Paulton Rovers. Fifth place Tavistock were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Slimbridge. Other results saw Willand Rovers win at home 1-0 against Melksham Town Lymington Town win 2-1 at Bristol Manor Farm. The remaining two games both ended in draws with Bishops Cleave and Exmouth Town ending up 2-2 and Evesham United and Bashley finishing 1-1.
